Granny farming in the UK

Hello there!!

Thank you for your email, it’s brilliant!! No really, I haven’t read it yet but rest assured, when I do, I’ll be savouring ever last drop of it!!

Anyway, I’m not here, and do you know why? Well, do you remember the band Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine?? Not so unstoppable it seems as I don't think they're around any more, but they had a song called "Granny Farming in the UK". I've been intrigued by this concept for a while now and so last month I planted a whole batch of granny's in a field on Grunty Fen in Norfolk and this weekend, Lucy and I are off to harvest them!!

I’m hoping to sell most of the granny’s to supermarkets and local shops, and at least 5% of the granny’s harvested will be donated to Live 8. One of the by-product of my harvest will be tons of crochet hats and cardigans, and trucks full of Werther’s Originals. I’m not quite sure what to do with these as yet, so if you’ve got any ideas, or if you’d like a nice woollen cardy and a pair of slippers, just let me know!!

In the meantime, have a brilliant day, and if you’re good, I may bring you back a granny or two!

Marvellous,

Vince.
